I spent the last couple of months assembling and refurbishing my old idea of the mad german veterinarian Dr Schwenck. This slightly revolting man was alledgedly involved in secret activities centering on making robots in the late 1920s and - after his mysterious disappearings in 1929 -  has become a prophetic figure with students of the University of Berkeley.

It's a sort of show-off of my past as a fantasy-ridden artist, and after this book the old ghosts hopefully are laid to rest. The book is due to be published in November 2014 with Das Wilde Dutzend, Berlin. German/English edition.

Here's the editor's stuff:

"Codex Roboticus
Are the notes of Dr Schwenck, rediscovered in Berkeley in 1964, simply the delirious dreams of a morphine-addicted German veterinarian, or are they really transhumanistic visions containing a grain of truth?
Packed with illustrations, photos and documents from Schwenck‘s estate and from the Berkeley edition, this book explores the vision of the “Codex Roboticus“.
